Child safety standards

How xhour prevents and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation

Our position

xhour has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Content that sexualises a minor, solicits a minor, or promotes such material is forbidden, and accounts that share it are removed permanently on the first offence. This applies to posts, comments, profiles, exchange listings and private messages alike.

Minimum age

xhour is not intended for anyone under 13. Accounts we find to belong to a child under 13 are closed, and the associated data is deleted.

Reporting from inside the app

Any post, comment, profile or message can be reported: open the “•••” menu on the item and choose Report. Any user can also be blocked from their profile. Reports reach us directly and are reviewed by a person, not only by an automated filter.

What we do with a report

We review reports of child safety concerns ahead of everything else. Where a report is founded we remove the content, close the account, and preserve the evidence. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, where the law requires it, national and regional authorities.

Reporting to us directly

Child safety concerns can also be sent to support@xhour.app. Reports of this kind are treated as urgent and reviewed ahead of everything else. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Compliance

xhour complies with applicable child safety laws in the markets where it is distributed, and with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy and Apple’s App Review Guidelines. See also our Privacy Policy and Support pages.
